Now we are pleased to review his book- and this one is ALL ABOUT Movers and Shakers! In fact, if you wanted to read our Mover and Shaker column with much more depth into all of the personalities, we believe that this would not be so dissimilar, although we have not won any Emmys yet…
I recently read “Time Tactics of Very Successful People” by P. Eugene Griessman. Catchy title – especially for me since I devour time management stuff. Even though I wrote a book on time management I still cannot get enough of it.

If you can get ahead of the curve, you are well on your way to becoming successful. I’m using the term successful to cover a lot of things we would like to be; happier, richer, less stressed out, thinner or fatter. The list is endless. You can decide what constitutes successful for yourself. I believe you will agree, what you find here will be important to achieving whatever end result your are personally aiming for.
I have this belief that successful people have to work like crazy and very hard in order to be successful, and therefore, give up one of the most important things about being human which is spending nice loving time with their loved ones as well as their friends, as well as give up alone time to deeply think about whatever they want to think.

Do you know what the problem is with asking successful people for advice? They dont always know why they are successful – but theyll give you all the reasons you want. I once watched an 100-year-old man explain that smoking every day was the secret to his longevity. It would be great to know why he lived so long, but Im pretty sure we wont learn by asking him.
Often we get caught in the mental trap of seeing enormously successful people and thinking they are where they are because they have some special gift. Yet a closer look shows that the greatest gift that extraordinarily successful people have over the average person is their ability to get themselves to take action. It is a gift that any of us can develop within ourselves. After all, other people had the same knowledge. People other than Ted Turner could have figured out that cable had enormous economic potential. But Turner and Jobs were able to take action, and by doing so, they changed the way of many experience the world.

SELF-MADE MENBY FREDERICK DOUGLASS
That there is, in more respects than one, something like a stoicism in this title, I freely admit. Properly speaking, there are in the world no such men as self-made men. That term implies an individual independence of the past and present which can never exist,
ScienceDaily (Mar. 27, 2009) — This month Fox Chase Cancer Center performed the world’s first successful minimally invasive distal pancreatectomy using the ViKY® system’s revolutionary robotic, compact laparoscope holder. The technology, developed in France and tested on thousands of patients in Europe, made its debut in a cancer setting in the United States at Fox Chase.

An unemployed porno addict, sitting in his parents’ basement, playing video games, eating Lucky Charms out of the box with one hand while he lazily scratches his balls with the other. A dread-lock having, patchouli oil smelling, tie-die wearing, Phish listening, hula-hoop twirling space cadet. A burger flipping, acne having, socially inept, friendless loser… These are the common stereotypes associated with the term ‘pothead’. In a recent piece we published on pot farms, a debate erupted in the comments section, with some arguing that if you smoke pot, you’ll be poor, gay, and “washing dishes until you’re dead.”

The most successful game ever made isn’t World of Warcraft, Tetris or even The Sims.
Click-for-click, nothing has wasted more time than Minesweeper, a little game that debuted back in 1990 as part of the Windows Entertainment Pack, before being promoted to a standard feature in Windows 3.1 and onwards.

We’re a bit biased, but we believe there’s no question that Don Draper is the best salesmen of all-time on Television. Selling happiness is an art and he is one of the best. So, this led us to speculate about who are the best salesmen, con artists, sweet-talkers, swindlers, and Bullshitters in the Movies.
Everyone fears failure. But breakthroughs depend on it. The best companies embrace their mistakes and learn from them.
Ever heard of Choglit? How about OK Soda or Surge? Long after “New Coke” became nearly synonymous with innovation failure, these products joined Coca-Cola Co.’s (KO ) graveyard of beverage busts.
